Marvin discovered that he was built to teach

Marvin Molyneux, a plumbing lecturer at Hugh Baird College, originally left school in 1997 and started a career as a semi-professional footballer playing for Burscough FC, going on to win an FA trophy medal. At the age of 26, Marvin joined the Armed forces and was part of an Artillery and Engineering regiment, participating in several tours, including Afghanistan. Marvin left the Army in 2018 to prioritise his family.

Marvin joined Hugh Baird College in 2022 as a plumbing lecturer and is studying a PGCE course alongside his teaching. Marvin appreciates the practical and physical aspects of teaching, particularly developing strong relationships with students and demonstrating a fresh, creative approach with his teaching style.
